Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Philadelphia VA Medical Center 3900 Woodland Ave Philadelphia, PA 19104 STATEMENT OF WORK Utility Fan Equipment Replacement Scope: The selected vendor/contractor will provide labor, equipment, and material necessary to remove and replace the Utility Fan designated EF-2, located on the roof of Building 1. Background: Routine service over the life cycle of the Utility Fan has been satisfactory. The fans in question have outperformed their anticipated life cycle and are in need of replacement. The fans provide negative pressure to the patient wards and provide infection control measures. Performance Period: This installation should take place within 30 days of award unless otherwise specified. Task and Requirements: The selected vendor/contractor will provide labor, equipment, and material necessary to remove and replace the Utility Fan designated EF-2, located on the roof of Building 1: Provide one Utility Fan to match existing EF-2, carbon steel construction with weather resistant coating, oversized flanged connections (to be drilled by others to match the existing inlet duct flange and discharge stacks), 5,800 cfm @ 4.2 static, 7.5 HP motor 460/60/3, Arrangement 10. Provide crane and labor as required to remove the existing EF-2 fan and install the new replacement fan. Supply and install new support steel onto the existing roof curbs as required to install the new fan to the same elevation as the existing fan. New vibration isolators to be provided and installed. All electrical work, duct disconnect and reconnect, and insulation repairs to be performed by Philadelphia VAMC. Other Criteria: The contractor shall coordinate all electrical, fire, or any other system shutdowns with facility management and the utilities shops. The contractor shall perform all tasks during Saturday working hours 7am 4pm. Place of Performance: All work will be performed at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center, 3900 Woodland Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19104. Site Security: The contractor will not have access to sensitive information, software, programs, computers, laptops, or cell phones during this service. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with federal, state, local, and VA guidelines, codes, and regulations. Any damage to existing walls, ceilings, surfaces, equipment, furniture, utility lines, etc. shall be repaired to match existing conditions at no cost to the VA. Contractor shall be responsible to make these repairs at their own expense. Contractor is responsible for the disposal of all waste and excess materials. Contractor shall not utilize VA waste containers to dispose of their waste and materials. Contractor is responsible for clean-up of the work site and to remove and dispose of all trash and debris from site. END OF DOCUMENT
