Description

FA9300-21-Q-6009 Synopsis of Proposed Contract Action CL-20 Explosive Materials for Area 1-30 Solid Propellant Synthesis R&D The Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Directorate of Contracting, Edwards Air Force Base, California, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order, to Northrop Grumman Space & Mission Systems Corp., 5113 Leesburg Pike Ste. 501, Falls Church, VA 22041-3220, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Northrop Grumman Space & Mission Systems Corp. is the only known business that meets the requirements and specifications for the CL-20 explosive materials for Area 1-30 Solid Propellant Synthesis. North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 424690. The following will be procured: CL-20 Explosive Material; 50 Pds. This notice neither constitutes a RFP or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may submit their interest and capability to the contract specialist below not later than, 7 May 2021, 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. Based upon the responses to this notice, the Government will determine if this proposed acquisition should be opened to competition. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
