- PURPOSE: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for J. Percy Priest North Murfreesboro Greenway Phase II. This is a Pre-solicitation Notice. This Notice is being issued for planning and informational purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this Notice. The Scope of Work for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price construction contract. The purpose of this project is to build a multi-use paved trail along an existing equestrian trail at Central Valley Trailhead in Murfreesboro, TN. The greenway is estimated to be 8,458 feet long and 10 feet wide. The greenway will have a variable cross slope to support positive drainage towards the East Fork Stones River not exceeding 2% slope.� The equestrian trail and the greenway will be separated by a 3-rail wood fence when spacing between the two trails is under 15� from the edges to ensure proper distance between pedestrians and horses. At the end point the greenway will loop the trail back into itself. The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and materials to perform the work.� PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers J. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $1M and $5M TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: The solicitation will be 100% set-aside for small business. SOLICITATION AND CONTRACT TYPE: The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price construction contract. ANTICIPATED SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date for this solicitation is Monday May 10, 2021. ANTICIPATED SITE VISIT DATE: Monday May 17, 2021, 10:00 am Central Time.
