Description

The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source purchase order on behalf of the Office of the Armed Forces Medical Examiners (OAFME) to LODOX, NA, LLC., located at: 143 Burton Street, Painesville, Ohio 44077-4164 under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting From a Single Source, as there is only one source reasonably available that will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is for the purchase of preventative maintenance services for the LODOX Statscan Critical Imagining Systems located at OAFME. � Only the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), LODOX NA, LLC, has the personnel with the specialized knowledge and training to work on the existing Brand Statscan Critical Imaging Systems. Field service representatives are directly trained and informed on new procedures concerning the LODOX Brand Statscan Critical Imaging Systems; whereas, a third party maintenance service would not receive this same proprietary information. Delays in the operation of, or, repairs to these Units, impacts the release of results to the U.S. Government; which is key to military readiness and national security. This is a notice of intent to issue this solicitation on a sole source basis. This notice of intent is NOT a Request For Quotations (RFQ). Any other firms desiring consideration must fully identify their interest and capability to provide these services no later than 13 May 2021 to the individual listed below. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest in writing, to the Government Point of Contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 11:00am Eastern Standard Time, 13 May 2021.
