- Description
- 1.� Introduction/Purpose The FAA has a requirement to replace a CRAC unit at is Juneau Automated Flight Service Station (AFSS) located in Juneau, Alaska.� The work includes, but is not limited to: Install temporary barrier for COVID mitigation, see note 1.01 D below. Revise existing ceiling grid as necessary to accommodate the new ceiling mounted AC cassettes Install new government furnished ceiling cassettes and grilles in electronics equipment room. Field locate, excavate, fill, and pour new concrete pad for outdoor unit. Provide cold weather concrete protection during concrete curing. Install new government furnished outdoor condensing unit, complete with wind baffles and other accessories, on new concrete pad. Furnish and install new refrigerant piping between new outdoor units and ceiling cassettes, including refrigerant tube, manifolds, and fittings. Protect exterior refrigerant lines with carrier pipe or steel channel. Install and test new condensate drainage system for the new AC units. Furnish and install all components necessary for new electrical circuits, including wiring, conduit, disconnects, circuit breakers, and junction boxes. Install per FAA standard for interior electrical work and NEC. Furnish and install new controls for AC system. Ensure new equipment can interface with existing building automation system. Commission the new AC systems before removing the existing unit. Remove existing refrigerant in accordance with EPA recovery requirements. Demolish and dispose of equipment, piping, power and controls associated with existing Liebert Challenger 3000 AC unit. Demolish old concrete pad. Fill with space with new rock to match existing. Seal all new and existing penetrations into the building envelope. 2.� Nature of Competition The acquisition strategy for the procurement has not been determined at this time; however, either an unrestricted competition or a set-aside will be chosen depending on the responses to the market survey. 3.� Standard Language This is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposals of any kind; The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred� in preparing the response to the market survey; and Any costs associated with the market survey submittal is solely at the interested vendor�s expense 4. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code The NAICS code for this project is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, which has a small business size standard of $16.5 Million.� 5.� Submittal Requirements for Market Survey Interested contractors are to submit a letter of interest and capability statement. 6.� Delivery of Submittals Email letter of interest and capability statement by close of business Friday, May 7, 2021, to the Contracting Officer, Cindi Tjelde, at cindi.tjelde@faa.gov.� Include business name, DUNS#, and point-of-contact information.� 7.� Timelines A set aside determination will be made after receipt of responses to this market survey.� A Request for Offers (RFO) is expected to be posted on BETA.Sam.gov 2-3 weeks after market survey deadline.�
