Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCAD LKE) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of�full service-level preventative maintenance (PM), emergency service, and system technical support for the Carl Zeiss Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) EVO-MA25 to Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC (CAGE:�325W6) of White Plains, NY, as they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)�of the microscope.�The complex and proprietary nature of the microscope precludes any vendor except the OEM from performing�maintenance. The coverage period for support for the NAWCAD Lakehurst Materials Engineering Laboratory is 1 October 2021 through 30 September 2022 with the option for coverage each of the three (3) following twelve month periods. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.� However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.� A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
