Description
April 28, 2021 Contract Branch (ca) Action Code: Pre-solicitation/Synopsis Class Code: Z Subject: project. Chesapeake City Bridge Miscellaneous Repairs. Solicitation Number: W912BU21B0004. Set-Aside Code: Unrestricted. Response Date: 12 May 2021 - 11:00 am. Eastern Time. Place of Performance: Chesapeake City Maryland. Description of Work: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District (NAP) intends to award a contract a firm fixed-price for multiple repairs and maintenance activities necessary of the Chesapeake City Bridge. The repairs will include replacement and repainting of severely deteriorated and corroded primary steel members near leaky deck joints, lateral bracing connection plates, main span arch ribs and gusset plates. Heavy to severe pack rust exists between the floor-beam bottom flange angles and the ends of the bottom flange cover plates at several locations. The contract will consist of a base bid and 1 option. �The Base Bid will include traffic control, structural steel repairs, deck joint sealreplacement, finger joint through replacement, North approach concrete pier repairs,South approach concrete pier repairs, South approach slab replacement and steelpainting at South approach piers. �OPTION 1 will include painting of the main span floor beams. All lane closures and full bridge closures shall be coordinated with Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) and Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT). The awarded contract will contain Liquidated Damages at a rate to be specified in the Solicitation. Solicitation No. W912BU21B0004 will be issued on or about 24 May 2021, as an Unrestricted Invitation for Bids. Bid opening will be conducted 24 June 2021 at 11:00 am. Bonding will be required; at the time of bid opening, by separate Bid Bonds; Performance and Payment Bonds will be required prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. The award will be made as a whole to one bidder in accordance FAR Part 14 Procedures. The period of performance is 365 Calendar days. Estimated cost range of this project is $1M to $5M and the NAICS code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $39.5 Million. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Betasam website (Betasam.gov) homepage located at https://www.Betasam.gov. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via Betasam Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. It is the contractor�s responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. The solicitation will contain FAR 52.222-38 Compliance with Veterans� Reporting Requirements, therefore contractors who have received a Federal Contract of $100,000.00 or greater, except as waived, must have submitted the preceding fiscal year Federal Contractor Veterans� Employment Report (VETS-100 and/or VETS-100A Report) to be eligible for an award.
