- This is a sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 100 Emancipation Dr., Hampton, Virginia 23667, is seeking potential sources capable to provide Cook-Chill Food Transportation. Applicable NAICS Code is 484220 with a size standard of $30.0 million. Classification code is V999. Contractor shall furnish all supplies, materials, equipment, including refrigerated trucks, and personnel/labor necessary for weekly transport/delivery of cook-chill food products from the food production kitchen located at Hampton VA Medical Center to seven sites located in North Carolina (Asheville, Fayetteville, Durham, Salisbury) and Virginia (Salem, Chesapeake, Piedmont). Delivery shall be accomplished through specified distribution routes within two days after pickup from Hampton VAMC. Point of origin for each distribution route is the food production kitchen at Hampton VAMC. The VA estimates one trip per week per distribution route.
