- Amendment 0001 to this RFI, the closing date has been extended to 17 May 2021.� The cutoff date for questions has been extended to May 10, 2021. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) Icebreaker Buoy & Construction Tender (IBCT) Description 1.1 The U.S. Coast Guard SFLC in support of the IBCT Product Line is seeking information on sources who would be interested in conducting Overhaul & Repair of Oceanmaster CG-300 Crane which would include inspections, repair, and provide maintenance and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts for the American Aero CG300 Cranes, used on the United States Coast Guard (USCG) WLIC 160' and 75' construction tenders. 1.2 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY.� This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes � it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.� This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever.� Further, the Coast Guard is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals.� Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party�s expense.� Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.� If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Beta Sam website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Background IBCT WLIC CG-300 Crane Overhaul and Maintenance Support Contract. Work Includes: Overhaul, renewal, and maintenance of the American Aero Oceanmaster CG-300 Crane and components. Requirement will support thirteen cutters which are outfitted with the Crane and one core to support a rotatable pool. 2.1 Planned Production: Conduct up to three level 3 overhauls of the CG-300 Crane per year, which may include but not limited to CG-300 Equipment and Component Inspection and Service, CG-300 Upper Works Equipment and Components Inspection and Service, CG-300 Boom Inspection and Service, and Technical On-Site Support and Diagnostics. 2.2 Delivery Period: Would be determined by Task Order. 2.3 Limitations: The Coast Guard does not possess the technical specifications, drawings, manufacturing data, or special tools necessary to complete the repairs or provide the required maintenance. This information was not purchased at the time of the original acquisition and is proprietary to the OEM, Sparrows Offshore LLC. All work must be conducted in accordance with current OEM specifications, drawings, and standards. Requested Information 3.1 Capability of performing the inspection, repair, provide maintenance, and OEM parts for the American Aero CG300 Cranes, used on the WLIC 160' and 75' construction tenders. 3.2 Data that the offered services have been satisfactorily provided to the OEM or the Government in the past. 3.2 A written letter, signed by the OEM that verifies the offeror's capability to access OEM drawings, specifications, and special tools. 4.0 Responses 4.1 Interested parties are requested to respond to this RFI with the following. (1) Capability of performing the inspection, repair, provide maintenance, and O/EM parts for the American Aero CG300 Cranes; and (2) Data that the offered services have been satisfactorily provided to the OEM or the Government in the past; and (3) A written letter, signed by the OEM, that verifies the offeror's capability to access OEM drawings, specifications, and special tools. 4.2.� Business type (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business) based upon North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 333923, Title.� �Small business concern� means a concern, including its affiliates that is independently owned and operated, not dominant in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, and qualified as a small business under the criteria and size standards in 13 CFR part 121.� 5.0 Questions Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to the Contracting Specialist, Maria (Helen) Chapa-Johnson, at maria.e.chapa-johnson@uscg.mil.� Verbal questions will NOT be accepted.� Questions will be answered by posting answers to the Beta Sam website; accordingly, questions shall NOT contain proprietary or classified information. The Government does not guarantee that questions received after May 10, 2021- 3:30 PM EST, will be answered.� 6.0 Summary THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY to identify sources that can Overhaul & Repair of Oceanmaster CG-300 Crane. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government.� The Coast Guard has not made a commitment to procure any of the items discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought.� All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
