Description
This is a BRAND NAME or EQUAL Solicitation for Evoqua Water Technologies products.�Luke AFB is seeking Small Business that can provide new replacement arsenic filter media, specifically Granular Ferric Hydroxide (GFH)� or EQUAL, remove and dispose of old media, and install new filter media at it's water treatment facility. There are two (2) 12'H x 6'W verticle single cell absorber vessels that will require 754 cubic feet of new Granular Ferric Hydroxide (GFH) or EQUAL arsenic filter media and 226 cubic feet of Silica Sand for this service in total. Contractor shall provide all supplies, equipment and labor necessary.�The contractor shall remove the existing filter media and sand by using vacuum equipment.� The contractor will exercise caution in not to break or crack the porous plate system below the sand. The government will inspect the porous plate system once old filter media is removed from each vessel.� The contractor may only take down one sand filter at a time for repair and may not start the second filter until the first filter passes an operational test.�The contractor shall install new filter media and silica sand.�After filter media is installed, the contractor shall perform the startup and the initial backwash of the newly installed filter vessels.�An evaporation pond will be prepared by base personnel for the back wash material. This will be performed after both filters are completed to determine if it is operational. After the filter media has been removed, the contractor shall be responsible for disposal of used media. Additional details can be found in the attachments provided. The place of performance will be at Bldg 1386 at Luke AFB, AZ. More details will be provided after receiving award. This will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract with delivery of materials and services to begin no later than 30 days after award.� Selection Criteria: Factor 1. Technical Acceptability, Factor 2. Delivery Terms, Factor 3. Price. More information can be found in the solictaion document. EQUAL ITEMS WILL RECEIVE THE SAME CONSIDERATION AS BRAND NAME ITEMS.
