- This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to BNC Corporation (CAGE 23908) of 2955 Kerner Blvd. Suite D, San Rafael, CA, 94901. This requirement is for the following: ITEM 0001- Cesium Iodide (CsI(Na)) Scintillation Detector 51 x 102 x 406 mm CsI(Na) Scintillation Crystal MFG: Scionix Holland P/N: R51*102AR406/2M-Cn QTY: 78 Each ITEM 0002- Cesium Iodide (CsI(Na)) Scintillation Detector 51 x 102 x 152 mm Csl(Na) Scintillation Crystal MFG: Scionix Holland P/N: R51*102AR152/2M-Cn QTY: 10 Each ITEM 0003- Cesium Iodide (CsI(Na)) Scintillation Detector 95 x 26.5 mm rectangular x 254 mm deep CsI(Na) Scintillation Crystal MFG: Scionix Holland P/N: R95*27B254/1.2(2)M-Cn-X-NEG QTY: 2 Each ITEM 0004- Cesium Iodide (CsI(Na)) Scintillation Detector Rugged gamma scintillation detector consisting of a 76 mm diameter, 76 mm high MFG: Scionix Holland P/N: 76BRS76/3M-CN-X QTY: 2 Each The Government intends to negotiate solely with BNC Corp under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), the property or services needed by the agency are available form only one responsible source. The procedures in FAR Subpart 13.5 will be used in accordance with 41 U.S.C.1901. FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and Subpart 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, applies. The applicable NAICS Code is 33417 and the business size standard is 1,000 employees. Please be advised the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis, and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of services provided. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
