- Please note that this is not a request for proposal nor a request for quote as there is no solicitation document available. Therefore, this is a notice of intent issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs to negotiate a limited source contract with ProAlliance for Kavo OP3D and Accessories for the Madison VAMC located in Madison, WI. This procurement will be used to create Dental Scans that will be used by the clinicians to determine best course of treatment. Market Research for the Kavo OP3D machine was previously conducted for the Milwaukee Machine which showed 3 Authorized Distributors identified by the OEM. This acquisition is Brand name only as Clinicians regularly rotate between Green Bay VAMC, Milwaukee VAMC & the Madison VAMC. Green Bay & Milwaukee are utilizing this same system/brand and are interconnected to each other to share files between the sites. Madison s machine will be connected to the other two allowing sharing of the images at any of the three hospitals. This allows instant access & continuity of equipment for the rotating clinicians at any site. The proposed action is IAW FAR 13.106-1(b) Single Source Awards. Information received in response to this special notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to not compete the proposed acquisition is wholly within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for paying on any costs incurred and/or associated with the development of any responses submitted to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334510 (Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing).
