Description
REQUIREMENTS:� Indian Health Service (IHS) � Phoenix Area Office (PAO), 40 North Central Ave., Phoenix, Arizona 85004-4424 The contractor shall procure and install a new dual pump steam condensate collection and return system to include the dual pumps, collection tank, inlet strainer, control system, and all connections required to operate. The contractor shall install the new system in the same footprint as the existing system. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and supplies required to complete the requirements outlined below. The contractor shall verify all locations and quantities. Procurement: The contractor shall procure a �Domestic Series CBE Condensate Unit Model 36CBE30-30� and associated system components. The system shall include dual pumps, collection tank, control panel, basket strainer, gauge glass, discharge butterfly valve, lifting eye, welded steel stand, discharge pressure gauge assembly, ball valves, gate valves, check valves, pressure switches, flow switches, couplers, nipples, tee�s, unions, and galvanized piping. Removal: The contractor shall provide all the necessary tools and equipment required to remove the existing dual pump condensate system to include dual pumps, collection tank, control panel, and associated components from the existing footprint/concrete foundation. The contractor shall electrically and mechanically isolate the compressor utilizing their lockout/tag out procedures. The contractor shall remove the existing system and associated components from the site and dispose of in accordance with regulatory requirements. Interim Functionality: The contractor shall ensure the domestic hot water system remains operational during the removal of the existing system and installation of the new system. When the system is being removed and installed, the condensate shall be diverted to a drain location 6� down to the adjacent utility tunnel floor and 50� down the utility tunnel. Installation: The contractor shall provide all necessary tools and equipment required to install the system. The contractor shall install the new dual pump steam condensate collection and return system in the same footprint as the existing compressor system. The contractor shall replace all the existing �� ball valves, 1� & 2� gate valves, 2� check valves, pressure switches, flow switches, couplers, nipples, tee�s, unions, and galvanized piping.
