- The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer - Contracts & Procurement Branch 2, ALAMEDA, CA anticipates awarding SOLE SOURCE procurement to CS CONTROLS During Dockside OP Test of STBD Anchor Windlass, Technician noted a leak that had developed on the top end of the Gear Reducer below the splined coupling. TP states """"Removal of the gear reducer can only be accomplished in a shipyard, and will require the removal of major structural components of the ship. Before attempting to remove the gearbox, refer to applicable shipbuilder furnished drawings and technical manuals. Ensure that proper lifting and transport equipment is available, and verify egress route."""" Technical Publication/s provide little information on the procedure and no exploded view of the windlass assy. S/F has exhausted all other options. OEM Technical assistance is needed to further troubleshoot. Statement of Work: 1.�������� Technical Representative to conduct thorough inspection, troubleshooting and repair of the Anchor Handling System and op-test. 2.�������� Tech to submit a CFR detailing any findings and recommended repair action with parts and cost. ����������� Note: tech rep needs to be wearing a mask, monitoring body temperature and reporting any Covid-19 symptoms. POP: 17-21 MAY 2021 Location: Alameda, CA OEM: CS Controls Tech Requested: CS Controls Vendor will provide all labor and parts listed in the Schedule. NAICS Code #336611 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0800 AM PST for 70Z08521NP45E8400 �will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
