- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from market research will be vital in the formation and set aside status of the solicitation. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for the supplies to repair asphalt at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Englewood.� The requirement consists of four thousand four hundred (4400) tons of hot mix asphalt, twelve hundred (1200) tons of road base and approximately one thousand (1000) gallons of tack coat. All supplies must meet state required codes. Hot Mix Asphalt - The hot mix asphalt design shall be �� (SX-75) Hot Mix Asphalt. The contractor will provide asphalt deliveries by 14-25 ton dump trucks to complete delivery. No belly dump will be allowed, only end dump capable of dumping into paving equipment. Usually defined by having small chutes on the back of the dump trucks. Application of the asphalt will be completed using equipment and labor provided by the FBOP (Federal Bureau of Prisons). Delivery of asphalt will be on a �Will Call� order delivered by the contractor to FCI Englewood. Actual round trip may vary for each truck. Trip tickets will be required to verify actual date and time, material description, ticket #, plant ID and quantity of material. Times may vary based on external work and access factors. Asphalt shall leave the plant with a temperature between 290-320 degrees. The asphalt must be placed with a minimum temperature of 250 degrees. Therefore the asphalt plant location shall be locate4d within a 30-40 minute delivery area. The contractor must be capable of supplying up to 200 tons per hour. Road Base � The contractor shall supply 1200 tons of road base. FBOP asphalt crew will retrieve road base from contractor plant location. Tack Coat � The contractor shall supply tack coat. FBOP asphalt crew will retrieve and apply tack coat from contractor. Deliveries will be made to FCI Englewood located in Littleton, Colorado. The Government contemplates awarding of firm fixed priced purchase order resulting from the future solicitation. � Further details concerning the required supplies and equipment can be found in the attached draft Specifications.� A Government solicitation document is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. �All future information about this acquisition, including the solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site.
