Description
Opekiska Lock and Dam Operations Building Roof Replacement The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement at Opekiska Lock and Dam for the protection, or if required for safety, removal and relocation of electrical equipment, conduit, and wires.� In coordination with site personnel, contractor shall make each circuit will be made electrically safe, properly terminate and permanently de-energize each circuit in accordance with (IAW) National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).� Electrical equipment and conduits must be reinstalled so the function is unchanged after roof replacement. Contractor shall remove existing roof system down to the deck, i.e.-membrane, insulation, etc.� Contractor shall prepare existing sub-surface IAW manufacture�s installation instructions.� Contractor shall replace drains and drainpipes from 1 foot below ceiling surface to the drain on the roof surface. Contractor shall ensure there are no gaps in insulation board joints exceeding � inch in width.� Insulation shall be roofed over on the same day the insulation is installed and installed per the Manufacturer�s Recommendations.� Contractor understands that any nonconformance with the provisions subjects the insulation to removal and replacement. Contractor shall install a single ply fully adhered 0.090 inch EPDM membrane roof system to include, but not limited to, insulation, drains, membrane, flashing in compliance with the manufacturer�s warranty requirements and the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) roofing manual.� Contractor shall seal the EPDM around all existing items that protrude thru or from the roof IAW manufacturer�s installation instructions.� The work shall be completed within 180 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed but no later than November 15, 2021, whichever comes first. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This acquisition will be will procured as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract.� All responsible offerors are encouraged to participate. Requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. Contractors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) BEFORE SUBMITTING A BID ON THIS SOLICITATION (go to https://www.sam.gov to register). Please be aware that SAM requires a Notarized Statement as part of their registration and renewal process. This process could take more than ten (10) days. The NAICS for this procurement is 238160 �Roofing Contractors� and the small business size standard is $16.5 �Million.
