Description
SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT FOR MOTOROLA BRAND NAME ITEMS This acquisition is in support of the VA Brownsburg Clinic for Motorola Police Radios. The Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC), National Activations Office (NAO) intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract to an OEM authorized distributor for Motorola Police Radios on a competitive basis in pursuant with authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(2). Competition is restricted on this procurement due to only one responsible source and no other supplies or services that can satisfy agency requirements. Motorola Police Radios are currently in use at the primary care site that supports this CBOC. Acquiring the same equipment for VA Brownsburg will maintain interoperable communications between Veterans Health Indiana (VHI) facilities. The equipment requested for the Brownsburg Clinic is compatible with the VHI current system and meets all standards and design to function seamlessly with the VHI current security system. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334220 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 1,250 employees. The anticipated timeframe for award is June 11, 2021. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. No solicitation package will be issued. See attached for salient characteristics. Any responsible source may submit a quotation which may be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. All information submitted should support the respondent s capability to provide the items and that those items will meet the Government s technical requirements. To ensure compliance with VA s gray market requirements for medical equipment, respondents must document in their response that they are the OEM or an OEM-authorized distributor. The Government is under no obligation to reimburse respondents cost for responding to this notice. All documents submitted by respondents are furnished to the Government at no cost or obligation. Respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Firms may register with SAM at https://www.sam.gov. All responses received by the due date and time will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. A determination by the Government to compete this brand name only requirement is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice are due on or before 5/20/2021, at 10:00 am (Eastern) via email to this procurement s Contracting Specialist Sandra Mruk at Sandra.mruk@va.gov and Contracting Officer Roberto Dejesus, at Roberto.Dejesus2@va.gov.
