Description
DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment required to construct and deliver four modular floating pontoons, four cleats, two spud assemblies with a hydraulic winch, and a detachable ramp to Barkley Lock. Two of the modular pontoons shall have the following dimensions: Length: 40 feet Width: 10 feet Depth: 5 feet Two of the modular pontoons shall have the following dimensions: Length: 20 feet���������� Width: 10 feet Depth: 5 feet Two spud assemblies (spud and spudwell) and a hydraulic winch to raise/lower spuds that attach to the pontoon assembly: Length: 30 feet Diameter: 20 inches One loading ramp that can attach to both the long axis of the pontoon assembly, for cleaning out ash from burner, and to the short axis of the pontoon assembly, for loading wood from the shoreline. Length: 20 feet Width: 10 feet Four cleats that will be set at the four corners of the 60 feet by 20 feet pontoon assembly. The pontoons shall be flat on deck with no sheer or camber.� The pontoons shall be constructed out of A36 steel.� The structural weight of the units shall be approximately 27,000 lbs. for the 40� by 10�s; approximately 14,700 lbs. for the 20� by 10�s; approximately 7,800 lbs. for the spud assemblies, and approximately 9,900 lbs. for a loading ramp. Deck structure shall be sized to support a bearing load of 5,000 lbs/sq.ft.� Bottom structure shall be sized to support a bearing load of 3,500 lbs/sq.ft.� Deck plating shall not be less than 0.25 inch under any circumstance. COATING SYSTEM �The exterior of the pontoons shall be coated with a paint system of the manufacturer�s choosing.� The paint system shall consist of at least a self-priming base coat, and an abrasion resistant top coat. The contractor shall provide a written, signed statement from the paint manufacturer certifying that all coating application and surface preparation is in accordance with the coating system manufacturer�s requirements for the vessel, and that the coating application meets all requirements in this specification. HULL OUTFIT & FITTINGS Each pontoon shall have a single recessed lift shackle located on deck at the center of balance of the pontoon.� The structure shall be adequate to lift each pontoon into position using only this lifting shackle. SOLICITATION AND CONTRACT TYPE: It is anticipated that from the RFQ Solicitation, the Government will award one Firm-Fixed Price Supply Contract to the company that provides the lowest quote. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE:�No solicitation document exists at this time.�The anticipated release date for this solicitation is on or around May 13th, 2021 SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Offerors�must be successfully registered in the SAM, www.sam.gov, in order to receive a Government contract award. Offerors must have their representations and certifications available on-line in SAM or provide them with their bid in order to receive a Government contract award. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted on www.beta.sam.gov. It is, and will continue to be, the responsibility of all potential offerors to monitor the website for any amendments, updates, responses to industry questions/comments, etc. The Government will not be maintaining a mailing list.
