- RFI - RAWS Cameras - May 2021 Date: May 14, 2021 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY for market research purposes to identify interested vendors for the potential requirement detailed below. This Request for Information (RFI) is a mechanism for obtaining feedback from contractors regarding the requirements stated below and is part of the acquisition planning and market research phase for this acquisition. The industry input received from this RFI will aid in determining available sources that can meet the Government's below stated requirements and may be considered in preparing an official solicitation package. The anticipated NAICS code for this requirement is 334220 �Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing. If contractors believe a more appropriate NAICS code applies to the requirement as described below, include this feedback in your response. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. SUBJECT: The BLM has a potential need for camera equipment meeting the specifications listed below. INTRODUCTION: The Department of Interior (DOI), Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho is issuing the subject Request for Information (RFI) for all size business concerns (please specify which type of business concern applies to your firm) on behalf of the Remote Automatic Weather Stations (RAWS) office. DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS FOR CAMERAS: Compact and remote for temporary and semi-permanent installations. Light weight under 30 lbs, easy to transport and setup within 15 minutes. Rugged, can withstand shock and vibration of being transported by ATVs off road. Contained in a hard case(s) no more than 38 inches wide X 19 inches long. Contains: Camera(s) Color with zoom Infrared/thermal automatic day and night filter with zoom. Programmable logger with the ability view images on site for installation, preferably without external source. Memory to store 6 months of images taken hourly at a minimum. Ability to zoom and perform minor troubleshooting remotely. Satellite data transceiver with omni directional antenna operational in North America. Cellular Transceiver operational in North America. FCC approved. Power source Low voltage DC. Solar panel for 60-day continuous use at a minimum. Tower or stand that can withstand 90 MPH winds when anchored. Can withstand torrential rain, low humidity, and harsh weather conditions. Temperature operating range of -40F to 120F. Secure data management. Vendor managed or customer managed. Date and time stamped on image. Option of environmental sensor with data stamped on image. STRUCTURE FOR RESPONSES: All interested concerns who believe they can meet the requirements described in this RFI are invited to submit, in writing, complete information describing their ability to meet the qualifications/experience for this requirement and provide the deliverables under this effort. please specify your business size (small, other than small, etc.). Once again, this is NOT A SOLICITATION and is being posted as part of acquisition planning and market research. Responses shall not exceed 10 pages on standard 8� x 11 inch and should include the following: 1. Organization's name 2. DUNS number 3. Business size (small, other than small, etc.) 4. Name, email address, and telephone number of a point of contact having authority and knowledge to discuss responses with Government representatives. 5. A capability statement and literature describing equipment to match the requirement above. RFI responses should be sent to the email address shown below. Only electronic submissions of information in Microsoft Word, Excel, or Adobe PDF format as appropriate provided to the email address specified below will be accepted. All emails should include in the subject line the RFI number and the submitting organization's name. All interested parties should provide their submissions via email by 5:00 PM ET/3:00 PM MT on May 26, 2021. There will be no posting of questions and answers resulting from this notice. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses received under this announcement. All information contained in the RFI is preliminary as well as subject to modification and is in no way binding on the Government. FAR clause 52.215-3, Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes, is incorporated by reference in this RFI. Responders to this invitation are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding. This RFI will be the basis for collecting information on capabilities available. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. Proprietary information and trade secrets, if any, must be clearly marked on all materials. All information received in this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
