- Subject: SPECIAL NOTICE 36C24921Q0311 Description: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 9, intends to issue a Firm Fixed Priced contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a single source. Award is anticipated to occur on or about May 24th, 2021 to Hill-Rom, Inc. The period of performance will be for seven calendar days after issuance of the notice to proceed. The TVHS Nashville Surgery Department has a requirement for a Trusystem 7000dv interactive Operating Room Table for immediate use within their Operating Room. The intended use of the operating room table is to provide precise accuracy during surgeries interacting with the da Vinci Robot. This mobile Operating Room Table is required to support the da Vinci Robot during surgery. The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System has purchased two da Vinci Robots that interact with the Trusystem 7000dv Operating room tables. Trumpf Mobile Operating Room Table will ensure compatibility with the da Vinci Xi Surgical System and continuity of surgical care standards. The Trumpf Medical TruSystem 7000dV Operating Room Table is designed to work with Integrated Table Motion for the da Vinci Xi Surgical System from Intuitive surgical procedures. Table Motion enables the da Vinci Xi Surgical System to connect to Trumpf Medical s TruSystem 7000dV Operating Room Table so that a patient can be dynamically positioned while the surgeon operates. The ability to reposition the operating table allows for optimal exposure and access to the target anatomy. This helps to increase efficiency and better manage the patient during robotic-assisted procedures. The table also connects wirelessly and provides feedback on the table angles for the Operating Room Surgeon team. Contractor will be responsible for the delivery of the digital scanning device to the Chattanooga CBOC in a timely manner. NCO 9 intends to non-competitively award this requirement to Hill-Ron, Inc. since the vendor appears to Proprietary to the Operating Table since 2018. Unnecessary delays cannot be endured. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339113 with the size standard of 750. The applicable Product Service Code is 6515. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit an offer and technical capabilities/narrative that proves by clear and convincing evidence that a similar digital scanning device is available that will provide comparable scanning abilities for the facility. If said OFFER and technical capabilities/narrative is received within three calendar days of publication of this notice, the narrative will be considered by NCO 9. All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the email address shown below. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will generally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
