Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing an Unrestricted Invitation for Bid for the Jetty and Wingwall Repairs at the Kennebunk River Federal Navigation Project, located in Kennebunk and Kenebunkport, Maine. The NAICS code for this work is 237990. The period of performance is 200 days. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Any responsible sourcemay submit a bid to be considered by the New England District. The location of work to performed under this contract shall be at the East and West Jetties and Wingwalls within the Congressionally-authorized Kennebunk River Federal Navigation Project (FNP), located in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, Maine. This project will require both land-based and floating marine plant construction methods in order to address damages to the historically siginificant stone structures. Damages have resulted in an overall loss of protection of the stone structures and include the loss of armor stone along both jetties, undermining of the east wingwall, and unbalanced settlement of the west wingwall will be disassembled and re-built with the extisting historic stacked fitting stones along with new stone protection at the base. The 110 linear foot portion of the west wingwall will be partially disassembled and re-built with the existing stacked fitted stones and approximately 80 linear feet in additional areas along both jetties will require placement of new armor stone. Both of the main jetty repair areas are located directly offshore, adjacent to the navigation channel, with the nose exposed to the open ocean. Please note this solicitation is unrestricted. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hardcopies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online. In order to download the solicitation, offerors must access the System for Award Management website (beta.sam.gov). All responsible source may submit a bid which shall be considered by the New England District. Additional questions may be emailed to the Contract Specialist at Heather.M.Skorik@usace.army.mil
