- PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE ASAP OR BEFORE 5/24/2021 PLACE OF PEFORMANCE USCGC MUNRO ALAMEDA, CA 94501 This will be awarded via Sole Source, to MTU America Inc. and this posting id is for informational purposes only. However if you feel this is not a sole source, please reach out to the PO listed�in FBO.� The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, National Security Cutters Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding this procurement to MTU America Inc. the service listed below: Provide Technical support for GT brake troubleshooting aboard NSC 6. MTU is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technical representative. The OEM is the only known manufacturer that has the techniques, design specifications, testing, quality assurance capability, and documentation necessary to manufacture these parts as used onboard Coast Guard Cutters. The Coast Guard did not purchase the manufacturer's proprietary data rights, and therefore, cannot determine with certainty that an alternative service could properly perform these adjustments. Failure to conform to the OEM's specifications, could cause further damage to the engines. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC MUNRO, ALAMEDA, CA. Vendor will provide the part/supply stated in the solicitation description. �NAICS Code # 811310 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0800 Pacific Time, MAY 24TH, 2021 will be reviewed by the Government. ��A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. �Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions concerning this notice must be submitted in writing the Contracting Officer, email address is: barbara.falero@uscg.mil. The solicitation is restricted to: MTU America Inc. Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. See justification for other than full and open competition attachment. If no affirmative responses are received by the date specified above to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to MTU America Inc.
