Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement and attachments constitute the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Consider this solicitation (#140R6A21Q0006) as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-04 and are subject to these terms and conditions. This solicitation is set-aside for small business. NAICS 335999. The small business size is 500 employees. The resulting purchase order will be a firm-fixed price type contract to be evaluated on the lowest price technically acceptable. Quotes will be considered for award on the following price schedule, but no award will be considered on only part of the schedule. 1. Quoters shall complete the price schedule and should include all delivery costs. Definitions: CLIN- Contract Line Item Number PRICE SCHEDULE CLIN ITEM DESCRIPTION UNIT OF MEASURE QUANTITY TOTAL PRICE 0010 24 CELLS- 48VDC BATTERIES EA 1 POINT OF CONTACT INFORMATION VENDOR NAME DUNS NAME PHONE, EMAIL PHYSICAL ADDRESS SPECIFICATIONS 24 cells Equivalent to: GNB flooded Classic, MCT-9, Long duration, 384 AH, specific gravity = 1.215, lead calcium. Dimensions must be exact: width of 11.13-inch, length 5.13-inch, height 18.25-inch. One-inch square posts. With flame arrestors & dust caps. High- and low-level lines on all jar faces. One electrolyte withdrawal tube per cell and two locations per cell where the tube can be used. One cell per container. Sediment space 0.95 inch. Electrolyte height above plates 2.50 inch. Recommended float voltage range of 2.17 to 2.25 volts per cell. Capable of supplying a continuous load of 44 amperes for a period of 8 hours at 77 degrees F with an end voltage per cell of not less than 1.84 volts. Compatible for using existing MCT-9 cells as spare. Stationary battery warranty: Limited warranty of not less than 1 year based on defects in materials or workmanship. Twenty-year limited warranty based on the battery furnishing not less than 80% of its rated capacity for 20 years after date of shipment. Cell lifting strap and associated hardware necessary for lifting supplied cells. Inter-cell connection hardware: 24 sets of connection hardware for inter-cell connections. Two sets are spare. Include all necessary hardware such as inter-cell connector bars, nuts bolts and washers with a rounded edge. The battery layout will be as shown in the included picture and will contain 24 cells. Two rows of 12 cells. The top row will be directly above the bottom row. See the attached arrangement of the 48 VDC bank which is a pdf file with the name ""USBR Boysen 48-volt battery.pdf'. Two sets of cable to post connection hardware. Include all necessary hardware such as backing plates, brackets, nuts, bolts and washers with a rounded edge. This is intended to connect the cables from the plant to the terminals of cell 1 and cell 24 as shown in the attached arrangement of the 48 VDC bank which is a pdf file with the name ""USBR Boysen 48-volt battery.pdf"". Suitable for using the lugs on the existing plant cables which are single � inch hole lugs. Two cable connection kits for making connection between tiers. Include cables, lugs, backing plates, brackets, nuts, bolts and washers with a rounded edge. This is intended to be used between cells 12 & 13 as shown in the attached picture. The existing connection is two parallel 2/0 cables each 40 inch long. The rack being supplied may require longer cables between cells 12 & 13. No-ox grease. Sufficient quantity of no-ox grease for making connections to all the cells. Must be approved by the manufacturer of the battery. Cell number labels for 24 cells. Starting at 1 through 24. Ship with MSDS/SDS sheet for cells and grease. Installation and operating instructions. Rack for the supplied cells Seismic rated for earthquakes for Shoshoni, Wyoming. Twelve cells on the top row and twelve cells on the bottom row. The top row positioned directly above the bottom row. Include all necessary hardware and accessories to assemble the rack and supplied cells into the rack. Include assembly instructions. Rack length not to exceed 6 foot in length Recycling Requirements: Pick-up of old batteries will not be at the same time of delivery of new batteries. This requirement will be completed once the Purchase Order Point of Contact has been notified by the Technical Point of Contact that the cells are ready and available for pick-up. Recycling of Exide EC-9 cells and associated inter-cell connection hardware. 24 cells and inter-cell connection hardware including cell connectors, nuts, bolts and washers. Include cost of shipping and cost of all arrangements of shipping cells to recycle location. We will have cells on pallet ready for pickup. Need truck you have arranged for to show up and take the cells. We have a forklift and can help load palletized cells onto the truck. Provide certificate of recycling indicating what was recycled, the weight and where it was recycled. Pickup of these cells can be done Monday through Thursday. Delivery Date shall be on or before July 1, 2020.
