- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to award a Base plus 4 firm fixed price sole-source contract to Healthtronics, Inc.; services will be provided to the Richmond Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Urology department in Richmond Virginia. The justification for this noncompetitive solicitation is due to Healthtronics Inc. being the sole company capable of providing a suite of cryoablation services, technicians, equipment, and the required disposables. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541990 All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services with a size standard of $16.5M. Sole source items: 06: cryoablation services/procedures. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no Solicitation will be issued. Market research has determined that this service is highly specialized are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of 01 June 2021 to Healthtronics Inc., 9825 Spectrum Dr. Bldg. 3, Austin TX 78717. However, interested parties may identify their skill and ability by sending capability statements in reference to this requirement to the contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days of this publication by contacting Gordon Burns via e-mail gordon.burns@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
