Description
THE SOLICITATION The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, Greater Southwest Region 7, Acquisition Management Division, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a complete replacement of existing fire alarm system at the Tom Stagg Federal Courthouse located at 300 Fannin Street, Shreveport, LA� 71101. The Shreveport Courthouse is a six-story, 1993 building consisting of 252,769 square feet. The scope of work consists of, but is not strictly limited to, the complete replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a new, emergency voice/alarm communication fire alarm system, in accordance with NFPA 72 and P-100 in all areas of intelligibility, audibility, and ADA compliance. All equipment and components shall be new and the manufacturer�s current model.� This procurement is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. The estimated construction cost magnitude for all work under this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors) with a size standard of $16.5 Million.� All responsible, qualified firms are encouraged to submit a proposal. For the purposes of FAR 52.236-1, Performance of Work by the contractor, the contractor selected for award shall perform no less than 15% percent of the work. The source selection process and criteria will be based on the Best Value trade-off methodology. A� virtual pre-proposal meeting will be conducted on May 21, 2021 from 1:00-2:00pm CST. A site visit will be conducted May 24, 2021 at 10:30am CST. Details pertaining to the virtual proposal and site visit meeting are enclosed in the solicitation.�Interested firms are encouraged to attend the pre-proposal meeting. The solicitation closing date will be June 30, 2021, 4:00pm CST. The solicitation and all other information, amendments and questions concerning this project�will be electronically posted at the following web page: https://beta.sam.gov/ (Contract Opportunities).� No telephone requests for documents will be accepted. This solicitation is not a sealed bid and there will not be a formal public bid opening.� All questions/inquiries or requests for clarification must be in writing, preferable via email to the persons specified in the solicitation. All answers will be provided in writing and will be available on the aforementioned Contract Opportunities posting. Interested firms must be registered and have completed their online representations and certifications in the System for Award Management (SAM).
