- AMENDMENT 0009: The purpose of this amendment is to notify the public of an increase in the total prize purse, further details about the prize breakdowns, and further details for the judging criteria. Please see the challenge.gov posting for these details at: https://www.challenge.gov/challenge/nswc-crane-aisum-prize-challenge/ AMENDMENT 0008: The purpose of this amendment is to notify the public of the Government�s response to a question received from a participant by email and the Government�s responses to questions received during a recent conference call regarding Phase II. AMENDMENT 0007: Special Notice N0016421SNB14; AMENDMENT 0007: The purpose of this amendment is to notify the public that two (2) participants have decided to withdraw from Phase II of the Artificial Intelligence for Small Unit Maneuver (AISUM) Prize Challenge. Two participants have withdrawn from Phase II. The two (2) withdrawn participants� names are listed below in alphabetical order: Exyn Technologies Shield AI, Inc. The Government has decided to continue into Phase II with the remaining eight (8) selected participants from Phase I. AMENDMENT 0006: The purpose of this amendment is to notify the public of the ten (10) participants that have been selected for invitation to participate in Phase II of the Artificial Intelligence for Small Unit Maneuver (AISUM) Prize Challenge. TurbineOne, LLC AMENDMENT 0005: The purpose of this amendment is to notify the public of the twenty (20) participants that have been selected for invitation to provide a virtual presentation of their submitted white paper concept to the AISUM Prize Challenge judging panel. Sonalysts SSCI Trueface Turbine One LLC AMENDMENT 0004: The purpose of this amendment is to: Provide responses to questions received for the AISUM Prize Challenge; and Below are the official answers to the additional questions that have come in: Question: Are the AISUM Virtual Vignette's 1,2 & 3 different demonstrators? Can you elaborate on this? Will selected teams be required to demonstrate each month, or are selected teams required to demonstrate once in this 3 month time frame? Answer: We are currently developing the Virtual Vignettes to be three separate test events. The timeline is flexible and may allow more time for algorithm development. However, the idea is to have one test run earlier in Phase II to be able to test algorithms and provide feedback to participants to assist them in further development for the second and third test events, and ultimately for Phase III. More information will be provided to those participants who move on to Phase II. AMENDMENT 0003: The purpose of this amendment is to: Provide responses to questions received for the AISUM Prize Challenge; and (2) Provide a copy of the Statement of Acknowledgement form to be included with white paper submissions per the AISUM Prize Challenge posting requirements. Synopsis � N0016421SNB14 Title: NSWC Crane AISUM Prize Challenge Notice Type: Special Notice PSC:� AJ13 General Science And Technology R&D Services; General Science And Technology; Experimental Development NAICS: 541715 Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology) Synopsis: Naval Surface Warfare Center � Crane Division (NSWC-CD) in coordination with government partners is announcing a prize competition called NSWC Crane AISUM Prize Challenge in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2374(a). This prize competition is focused on seeking ideas and best practices for a technology development that uses Artificial Intelligence for Small Unit Maneuver (AISUM) and combine with Naval Expeditionary Warfare (to include Special Operation Forces (SOF)) tactical maneuver elements and Robotic Autonomous Systems (RAS) to create a low risk human machine maneuver element. The prize amount includes $250,000 to be disbursed among those who do well and pass certain challenge milestones. The Government reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to increase the prize purse up to $1,000,000 during the execution of the challenge to be paid out in later phases. The challenge Phase I goes live 10 December 2020 and will run through 29 January 2021 with an anticipated completion date of all phases in 4th Quarter of FY21. Furthermore, at the Government�s discretion, the Government may choose to award a FAR-based procurement contract, an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) award (under 10 U.S.C. 2371 or 2371b), a procurement contract for experimental purposes (10 U.S.C 2373), or a combination of awards under those authorities to any chosen participant in this prize challenge. If the Government chooses to award an OTA award under 10 USC 2371b, the Government may also decide to award a follow-on production OTA award using the same authority.
