- This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a Request for Proposal, a Request for Quotation, or Invitation for Bids. There is currently no solicitation package available.�Questions and submissions may be submitted by email to Michael.t.miller7@navy.mil ONLY.� A requirement by the government exists for 22 Fuel Sump Drain Tools (P/N 94-8136), through a Firm Fixed-Price contract to support the sustainment of multiple P-8A Poseidon aircraft. The drain tool connects to the fuel tank sump drain and is used to drain the sump.� It is used with Shaw Aero Valves, which are installed in the 777 center tank and the 737 main wing tanks. To assess the current marketplace, the Navy is requesting industry provide product descriptions of items that meet the Government requirements. All corporate and proprietary information should be so marked and will be fully protected to the extent allowed. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any follow-on acquisitions. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. This RFI does not constitute the solicitation of proposals. Responders to this RFI may be requested to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittals.
