SOURCES SOUGHT: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) is conducting Market Research through this source sought notice to help determine the availability of qualified Businesses within registered under NAICS code 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing; PSC Code 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies that meets the following specifications for one time buy. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their business size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, small veteran owned, or service-disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS 334510. Consistent with Public Law 109-461 VA's Veterans First Contracting Program , first priority would be given to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns, should there be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside if the requirement goes to solicitation. If insufficient veteran owned and small business response is received to establish the basis for setting this action aside for other than large business participation, then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Pulumonary Service request Special purchase of 1 SonoSite PX Ultrasound Machine 3. Background. Are main concerns is transfer patient data into CPRS (pictures). The ultrasound we have now is unable to transfer patient data into CPRS, and has reached its data capacity. We were looking into getting a dongle that would transfer patient information into the CPRS, which would create more date space. Biomed informed us that are Ultrasound is old , not under warranty and will not be fixed. 4. Scope. Are main concerns is transfer patient data into CPRS (pictures). The SonoSite PX point-of-care ultrasound delivers the most advanced image clarity Sonosite has ever offered, aided by a new family of transducers, proprietary speckle reduction technology, and improved color performance. More accurately visualize sonographic landmarks for anatomical certainty. New durable transducers with new technology aid in image clarity. Streamlined interface improves workflow and allows clinician s easy control with fewer touches. It has an adaptable work surface that transitions from horizontal to vertical position for optimal bedside care. Cable management system keeps transducer cords off the floor even at the lowest height (infection control). Durable integrated transducer holders remove the need for pesky cups making cleanup easier. Smaller wheelbase footprint is more maneuverable in crowded work spaces. SonoSite PX s reliability and durability are backed by a five-year standard warranty, which is included in the price of the system. Software upgrades to the main system and transducer databases are accomplished through one of two USB ports on the system. Also includes battery, ultrasound gel, and user guide on a CD (Printed user guides also available as a purchasable option). Included with the purchase of your SonoSite PX, you will receive four consecutive hours of installation provided by a SonoSite Clinical Specialist. The installation includes an overview of the product and accessories purchased, training on the features, functions, and user interface, and system care/maintenance. Available for US locations only. Security Requirements: This contract will not require access to VA sensitive information. Vendor personnel will not perform any functions requiring access to a VA system or VA sensitive information (e.g., system administrator privileged access to a VA system, or contractor systems or processes that utilize VA sensitive information). Any security violations or attempted violations shall be reported to the COR immediately upon detection. The contractor shall adhere to applicable VA policies and procedures governing information security, especially those that pertain to certification and accreditation. The C&A requirements do not apply, and that a Security Acceditation Package is not required 8. Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Government-Furnished Information (GFI). N/A 9. The Durham VA Health Care Center is a full service facility and the Respiratory Providers requests the SonoSite PX Ultrasound System for use in Plumonary for procedures necessary to provide specialized Veteran patient care. b.
