- This is a special notice for informational purposes only. The 23d Contracting Squadron is anticipating making a single source award to Systems Technology, Inc for a parachute simulator training update, �ParaSim�. The basic requirements for the upgrade are as follows: � Customized Real World Scene/Drop Zone additions/upgrade � PARASIM Head Mounted Display w/ Multiple Head Mounts (newly upgraded devices) � The parachute simulator system (PARASIM) is a proprietary system created by Systems Technology, Inc (STI). PARASIM is a unique designed 3-D virtual-reality system that simulates unique training for operators using the parachute system in the designated specific locations. This system will simulate all types of landing to prevent injury or death in real world application. PARASIM version 6 updates are required to keep the current system functional and operating. � Currently Moody AFB has version 6 of the parachute simulator �ParaSim� and it requires the upgrade to version 7 to be operational. Systems Technology, Inc is the only vendor who supplies this product and its upgrades. This notice is for market research purposes only. If the government decides to continue as a single source a justification and approval document will be completed in accordance with FAR 6.303; Justifications and posted to FBO.gov in accordance with FAR 6.305; Availability of the Justification. All inquiries on this action must be submitted by email to the POC: christian.bertram@us.af.mil, NO LATER THAN 9 June 2021 @ 4:00 P.M Eastern Standard Time. This is NOT a request for proposal and does NOT constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this Special Notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
