- Under this Solicitation Notice, the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District issues Solicitation No. W912P621B0004�for bidding purposes. Therefore, provided hereunder is the relevant bid package for the construction project entitled, BURNS WATERWAY HARBOR DREDGING APPROACH CHANNEL MAINTENANCE DREDGING (FISCAL YEAR 2021), PORTAGE, INDIANA. COMPETITION FOR THIS ACQUISITION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR HUBZone SMALL BUSINESSES�� The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code is 237990 with a SB size standard of $30M for dredging. -To be considered�small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must �perform at least 40% of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. Project Description: Burns Harbor has shoaling in the harbor that requires removal as part of the reoccurring maintenance for the harbor. The contract is expected to dredge up to 160,000 Cubic yards of material; up to 80,000 CY in one year, and up to 80,000 CY in another. The material will be placed either near shore in the littoral zone or at a designated beach (Portage Beach or Ogden Dunes Beach) which will be specified in the drawings. The estimated magnitude of construction costs is�between $1M and $5M.� This Solicitation (Invitation for Bids �IFB�) package is downloadable from this�INTERNET ONLY.
