- 2021 Sensors & Processing, Advanced Electronics, and Materials &�Manufacturing Processes COIs�Independent Research & Development�Technology Interchange Meetings 13-17 September 2021 During the week of 13-17 September 2021, three of the DoD�s Reliance-21 Communities of Interest [Sensors & Processing (S&P), Advanced Electronics (AE), Materials & Manufacturing Processes (M&MP)] �are joining together for a crosscutting Independent Research & Development (IR&D) Technology Interchange Meetings (TIMs) with industry partners. This invitation is open to all DoD defense contractors with IR&D and corporate investments including large corporations, medium and small businesses, as well as academia, National Labs and FFRDCs.� The venue is being finalized and will likely be in the Washington DC area.�� This engagement has broad goals to increase awareness, stimulate collaboration, seek alignment between industry�s IR&D innovation investments and DoD�s high-priority science and technology (S&T) needs and corresponding acquisition and sustainment roadmaps. Leading Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from DoD�s S&P, AE, & M&MP are expected to participate. Note: �Any further changes and updates to this announcement will only be posted on the Defense Innovation Marketplace website https://defenseinnovationmarketplace.dtic.mil/2021-sp-ae-mmp-coi/ Participation Interest In order to participate companies must (1) be a DoD defense contractor, (2) have a certified DD2345, and (3) ensure nominated projects reside in the DTIC IR&D Database.� The Industry Portal webpage has information and instructions on submitting new IR&D projects. Interested parties should send an email stating their expression of interest with a copy of their certified DD2345 to dtic.belvoir.ecm.list.sensors-marketplace@mail.mil .� Once the IR&D Team receives the email and DD2345, additional information on the technical focus areas and instructions on how to nominate your IR&D projects and corporate investments will be provided. �If you do not hear back from the planning team within one week, please resend the original email. Note: Government technical support contractors may be a part of the team of SMEs at the event, and company-to-company Non-Disclosure Agreements shall be necessary. 4.
