Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Iliana Healthcare System VISN 12,1900 East Main Street Danville Illinois 61832, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), awarded on a sole source basis with Trane US Inc. for the provision of a Service Maintenance Agreement. NAICS 238220 and PSC code J041 apply. In order to ensure the validity of the warranty procured under contract 36C25221P0626, a factory authorized service and maintenance program is required. Contract 36C25221P0626 provided the R Newal program for the rebuild and renewal of the compressor of the chiller unit and comes with a five-year warranty upon completion of the rebuild. The warranty covers parts and labor for the compressor for a five-year period . Trane is the only factory authorized Service and Controls Contracting Company servicing the state of Illinois, per a sole source letter provided by the manufacturer. Use of non-factory authorized sources would void the 5-year warranty. Periods of performance are as follows: Base Period of Performance: 06/01/2021 05/31/2022 $9127.00 Option Year 1: 06/01/2022 05/31/2023 $9401.00 Option Year 2: 06/01/2023 05/31/2024 $9604.00 Option Year 3: 06/01/2024 05/31/2025 $9975.00 Option Year 4: 06/01/2025 05/31/2026 $10,275.00 For the purposes of the award of this Contract, the Government evaluated the option to extend services, provided under FAR 52.217-8, as follows: The evaluation will consider the possibility that the option can be exercised at any time, and can be exercised in increments of one to six months, but for no more than a total of six months during the life of the contract. The evaluation will assume that the prices for any option exercised under FAR 52.217-8 will be at the same rates as those in effect under the contract. The evaluation will therefore assume that the addition of the price or prices of any possible extension or extensions under FAR 52.217-8 to the total price for the basic requirement and the total price for the priced options.
