- Notice of Intent: The Baltimore VA Medical Center, VISN 5, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Medivators, Inc. to initiate a new service agreement/contract for the (3) Advantage Plus Medivators Endoscope Reprocessors located in the Sterile Processing Department within the Baltimore VA medical Center. The proposed agreement/contract would cover annual preventative maintenance and remedial service (if required in between preventative maintenance service calls, software updates, for the following period of time: Base year of (12) months. This requirement is limited to only one vendor as Medivators is the only company who has remote access to tour current Medivator endoscopic reprocessing machines. Medivator is the only company who can remotely monitor and assess the current status of the machines and pro-actively send repair technicians if they see an issue on the devices. This remote access/monitoring capability will allow for reduced downtime to due corrective maintenance since the vendor can monitor the systems remotely. Only medivators has this remote access and owns the proprietary rights to using that remote access installation software. The NAICS code 811219 applies. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or a request for offerors. No solicitation package is available at this time. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 2:00 PM (EST) on June 11, 2021.
