- NOTICE TYPE: Sources Sought TITLE: Multiple FSCs Supporting the TF33 Engine DISCLAIMER: THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT (PSS) OR TO OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. Purpose: This agency proposes to issue a sources sought as a means of conduction market research to determine if other companies are capable of providing any items that have been determined to be sole source to Pratt Whitney. An additional ten (10) NSNs added to the previous population of�NIINS that may be affected by this acquisition.� The two elements anticipated as part of this effort are as follows: �1. An additional�population of approximately eleven (11) NIIN's� identified as sole source with an AMC of 3/4/5 may be targeted�for Rapid Delivery Release (RDR) and Price Pending after review. This population is added to the previous�items identified.� See Attachment for List of NIIN's (updated on 5/28/2021). �2. This population of approximately eleven�(11) NSN's, in addition to the previous�items,�identified as sole source with an AMC of 3/4/5 may be targeted for addition to Pratt and Whitney's long term contract SPE4AX-16-D-9436 (formerly known as SPE4AX-13-D-9424) via modification, using the RDR and Price Pending contract vehicles.� �3. This population of items is updated from ten to eleven items to include sole source P/N 510390, NSN 2840008670130RV, with an AMC/AMSC of ""3P"" as part of this action.� See attached. Objective: The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to support the objectives by responding to this notice. The proposed sole source RDR/PRICE PENDING solicitation will be issued to United Technologies Corporation, Pratt & Whitney, CAGEs 52661/77445. All responses received by the notice response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment by the Government. It is the Government�s intent to use a letter solicitation format to the sole source Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM); therefore, if any non-OEM source is interested in any of the NSNs, please notify the Contracting Officer prior to the synopsis closing date. Surplus dealers are also invited to respond to this synopsis. The response should include a completed surplus certificate, DLAD 52.211-9000, Government Surplus Material or adequate traceability documentation to show that the product is acceptable. (Note: Other Aviation sites will provide their equivalent surplus clause, as applicable). Responses to this announcement from other than the OEM should identify items of interest and include evidence of ability to supply the items for the contract period as identified. In addition, respondents should identify the quantity available and price. A copy of the letter of interest should be forwarded to the contracting officer identified herein and SBA PCR (tammy.birdsong@sba.gov). The Government may alter the acquisition strategy if purchase of existing surplus or newly-manufactured inventory is in the best interest of the Government. SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION: Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be readable by Microsoft Office or Adobe software. Response this Sources Sought Notice shall be unclassified and not exceed 20 pages in length.
