- N66001-21-Q-6340: Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award to Alpha Spectra, Inc. This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Alpha Spectra, Inc. (CAGE 3E1R9) of 715 Arrowest Ct., Grand Junction, Colorado, 81505-9739. This requirement is for the following: ITEM 0001- Sodium Iodine (NaI) Scintillation Detector Detector Style: Demountable Crystal Material, and Dimensions: NaI(Tl) 2"" x 4"" x 6"" Crystal Housing: 0.032"" thick aluminum housing Photomultiplier: Demountable 2"" R6231 Hamamatsu PMT, wrapped with mu metal foil, machined aluminum light shield, 8 stage PMT. Connectors: 14 pin base Gain Control: N/A Pulse Height Resolution: 7.2% or better MFG: Alpha Spectra, Inc. P/N: 8D16X24/2(6231)S QTY: 20 Each The Government intends to negotiate solely with Alpha Spectra, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, applies. The applicable NAICS Code is 33417 and the business size standard is 1,000 employees. Please be advised the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis, and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of services provided. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
