Subject:�� Non-personal Postdoctoral Research Type Services at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Department of Clinical Investigations, Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ); IT IS STRICTLY A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). NEITHER UNSOLICITED PROPOSALS NOR ANY OTHER KINDS OF OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED IN RESPONSE TO THIS RFI. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED PURSUANT TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. � 1.0� DISCLAIMER: This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kind of offers will be considered in response to this RFI. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. At this time, questions concerning the composition and requirements for a future RFQ will not be entertained. � 2.0 SUBJECT:� �The Department of Clinical Investigation (DCI) at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) is part of the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) and focuses on the tool, training and expertise to develop clinicians and scholars to support the Military Medical Research, Graduate medical Education and Research Regulatory Oversight at MAMC.� Ensuring high-quality services is an imperative of the US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) as it strives to become a high-reliability organization (HRO). 3.0 BACKGROUND: The mission of the Department of Clinical Investigation (DCI) at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) focuses on providing tools, training and expertise required to develop clinician and scholars who engage in intellectually rigorous, safe, and ethical conduct of research which advances the science of medicine.� This contract service requirement for non-personal Postdoctoral Research type services that include microsurgery experience, tissue harvesting and other laboratory work.� Other services include literature research and manuscript preparation. The NAICS for this requirement is 541714; Research and Technology in Biotechnology (except Nanobiotechnology) /� Std size: 1,000. 4.0 RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS:� �Respondents should address the following in their capabilities statement:� � The purpose of this requirement is to provide postdoctoral research services: Experience with laboratory animals showing the ability to perform microsurgeries on animals Ability to administer stem cell and growth factors �Perform a variety of sensory and motor function analyses. Assist in laboratory experiments concerning cellular and molecular analysis Keeping experimental records, proper storage and shipping of tissue samples Assist the Primary Investigator with lab and animal work. Perform research and manuscript preparation Ability to perform records management between the Principle Investigators, Co-investigators and Research staff. Perform statistical analyses showing appropriate analysis procedures including: Ability to collect data from collaborators. �Setting up data Ability to judge validity and reliability of the data Ability to write programs to perform analyses Ability to produce written reports on the results of the analyses 5.0 CONTACT INFORMATION:� �All information regarding Capabilities Statements or any other proprietary information relative to this RFI shall be submitted via email to brenda.i.mena.civ@mail.mil no later than 10:00 a.m. E.S.T. on Tuesday, 8 June 2021.
