This notice is not a solicitation and there will not be an invitation for bid (IFB) issued at this time. This notice is a market research tool to determine the availability of qualified sources. The Kansas City, District Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified Small Business (SB) that primarily perform work under the NAICS classification 237990-�Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction�. The applicable size standard is $36.5M. This sources sought notice will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions. �After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Government Port of Entry (GPE), http://SAM.gov� No additional information is provided.� There is no bid package or solicitation at this time. Project Location (Geographical Area), Saline River in Russell County, Kansas 67481. The period of performance will be approximately one year ( 365 days). The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Description of Construction Requirement: The US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, has a need for Construction Activities for replacement of 12 relief wells at Wilson Dam, Kansas located in Russell County. �The work covered by the construction award will consist of furnishing all equipment, labor, operators, supervision - site superintendent, quality control, supplies, materials, and incidentals necessary to satisfactorily perform and provide construction regarding the 12 replacement wells, modification of the relief well discharge piping for 25 existing reliefs, installation of approximately 350ft of a buried seepage collector system consisting of pervious fill and slotted piping, installation of a junction box and outfall piping with associated erosion protection features, and earthwork for required fill areas, and other associated appurtenances to the relief well system. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. Business DUNS number and Cage Code number. State specific interest in providing a bid if a solicitation is issued. Address capability to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity. Type of business and business size. Joint Venture information, existing and potential, if applicable. Offeror's Bonding Capability: Bonding Surety Letter. Offer must provide a letter or other documentation from a surety appearing on the Department of Treasury Circular 570 (list of approved sureties) stating that the Offeror is able to provide a bid bond and obtain Performance and Payment Bonds for a minimum of $10 million. 8. � Contractor may submit examples of work done by a subcontractor if that subcontractor intends to enter into a letter of commitment with the contractor. 9. � Does your firm have experience installing relief wells? �Please provide 2-3 projects where your firm has constructed relief wells in the last 3-5 years (include contract number, agency/customer, duration of the project, dollar value). 10. Does your firm have experience in earthwork? �Please provide 2-3 projects where your firm has performed earth work in the last 3-5 years (include contract number, agency/customer, duration of the project, dollar value). 11. Do you have experience with the installation of buried piping? Please provide 2-3 projects where you have installed buried piping in the last 3-5 years (include contract number, agency/customer, duration of the project, dollar value). Summary: This Sources Sought Notice is to assist the U.S Army Corps of Engineers with market research. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced/posted on the SAM.gov website with sufficient time for all interested parties to respond. �No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. However, the information will be utilized for technical and acquisition planning. �If adequate responses are not received from small business, the acquisition may be solicited as unrestricted. �All data received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. �Since this is a sources sought announcement, no debrief, evaluation letters, or results will be provided to the participants.
