- Contracting at the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking sources capable of providing for the following requirement (brand name OR equal): Centrak RTLS Asset Tracking and Hand Hygiene Compliance hardware and software. Basic desired characteristics include the following: Centrak Asset Tracking real time locating of assets will include, at a minimum Meet and follow VA national RTLS data and technology standards Utilize VA Technical Reference Model (TRM) approved software platform Be capable of delivering certainty based: Room, Sub-room, and Zone location Utilize multiple tag form factors, including tags that are: Smaller than 40mm X 30mm X 10mm, to enable tracking of small assets Water resistant Use replaceable batteries, and have average battery life of greater than 3 years Can use Low Frequency for egress/chokepoint protection Utilize locating infrastructure than can include Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to enable Wayfinding, should VA West Palm elect to deploy. Centrak Hand Hygiene Compliance Monitoring - automated HHC monitoring will be able to Leverage the real-time technology system to automatically capture and report HHC rates , defined as number of times a person washes hands divided by number of room entries plus room exits Provide audible reminders to persons if, after a defined interval, they have not washed hands To capture and report at role or unit levels should VA decide not to deploy at individual staff member level of granularity To be able to accommodate rooms/patients where Clostridium difficile precautions require soap and water hand washing Badge will be able to provide audible reminder for staff to wash hands Badge will be capable of integrating with other systems, e.g. nurse call system for staff duress and contact tracing Illuminate the dispenser module to provide staff a visual confirmation a wash event has been captured Hand Hygiene standards include the following: HHC User Interface software must be VA TRM approved HHC solution must be compatible with existing infrastructure and national RTLS hardware and data standards HHC solution must leverage asset tracking RTLS infrastructure hardware/investment HHC solution must be able to accurately measure and record when a caregiver/staff washes their hands AND when a caregiver/staff should wash their hands per WHO protocol HHC Staff Badge must be capable of providing an audible reminder to for staff to wash hands HHC badge must also be capable of providing staff duress communication and location HHC solution must be able to accommodate rooms/patient where Clostridium difficile precautions require soap and water hand washing. Awardee will be responsible for the following: The vendor shall provide project management resources to manage the installation and deployment process and be responsible for the coordination of deployment schedules, delivery of equipment, coordination with customer during the roll out, and other such tasks as required. The vendor will project manage the site install according to this document and supporting documentation. Communication and status update procedures will be coordinated with the customer. The vendor shall provide all staging and shipping of the provided equipment. Vendor will install all hardware and software and will ensure equipment operates at 95% reliability. Vendor will provide training for software and interfaces. The Contracting Officer (CO) seeks the following information: If interested, what is your business size standard and DUNS number? This information will assist the CO in determining a set aside for forthcoming Request for Quote. Is Asset Tracking and Hand Hygiene Monitoring a requirement normally done in tandem ? (The CO is unaware as to whether a procurement consisting of Asset Tracking and Hand Hygiene Monitoring is an industry-standard practice OR if this is better as two separate actions.
