Description

Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Administration (ADM), intends to issue a sole source award to Research Electronics International, (REI) in Cookeville, Tennessee, U.S.A., for the acquisition of Security Survey Training employing a Fixed Price type contract for all NRC staff at the Tennessee training facility. The contractor shall train NRC staff NRC owned REI manufactured equipment. The anticipated period of performance is a base period of 12 months and four one-year option periods. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is: 541690. The size standard is $16.5 Million. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with REI, and no solicitation will be issued.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the government to determine if the party can perform the requirement. Additionally, in order to perform work for the NRC, potential sources must be free of conflict of interest (COI).� For information on the NRC COI regulations, visit the NRC Acquisition Regulation Subpart 2009.5 (http://www.nrc.gov/about-nrc/contracting/48cfr-ch20.html). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to April.Thomas@nrc.gov.� If no responsive statements are received by the close date of this notice, an award will be made to Research Electronics International.
