Description
BLM-CO - Dry Creek Basin Fence - Amendment 1 ------ The purpose of this modification is to record the minutes of the pre-bid site visit. ------ This is a solicitation for removal and installation of barbed wire fence. A hosted pre-bid site tour has been scheduled for 2 June 2021 at 10:00 AM. Meet us at the Basin Store Kiosk if you are interested in learning more and checking out the site conditions. The government estimate the rough order of magnitude of this project to be between $25K - $100K. ------ Description: A.1.1 PROJECT OBJECTIVES: The objective of the Dry Creek Basin FY21 Dry Creek Basin Fence Replacement project is to remove approximately 1.52 miles (8,030 feet) of existing barbed wire fencing and reconstruct the 1.52 miles (8,030 feet) of fence to meet BLM wildlife friendly fence requirements. The project will also remove .99 miles (5,236 feet) of unused wood post fencing. The projects purpose is to improve habitat for Gunnison Sage Grouse by removing perches for raptors and corvids and to decrease the risk of collision. The project consists of removal and reconstruction of 8,030 feet of fencing. The existing fence is wooden posts and 5 or 6-strand barbed wire and some woven wire. Contractors are to provide all labor, supplies, and equipment to remove existing fencing and construct new fence to BLM standards. ------ A.1.2 - LOCATION OF PROJECT: The project is located in Dry Creek Basin (Map 1). The project can be accessed from Dove Creek (south of project) or Naturita (north of the project), Colorado, on Hwy 141. Traveling on Hwy 141, at San Miguel County Road U29, turn west. Stay on road U29W for approximately 4 miles to the intersection of San Miguel County Road U29 and 25R, turn south for 1.5 miles and arrive at the east end of the fence to be replaced. Total Small Business Set-Aside for 238990 - Size Std: $16.5M 8. Award Criteria - Low Price Technically Acceptable with a thorough review of your technical response to be sure you have the experience and resources to perform this task.----- Minimum Requirements for a Responsive Quote: 1. Filled out, priced, signed bid form. 2. Short technical response detailing your capabilities, resources, personnel, equipment, specific plan of operations and schedule to complete this work.
