- THIS IN NOT A REQUEST FOR BIDS. THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR REPAIR WORK AT THE LORAIN CONFINED DISPOSAL FACILITY. OVERVIEW OF WORK IS AS FOLLOWS:� Work consists of raising existing earth berms at the Lorain Confined Disposal Facility (CDF) in Lorain, Ohio approximately 6 to 18 inches using previously dredged material taken from the interior of the CDF.� The length of the perimeter berm to be raised is approximately 4600 feet and the length of the cutoff berm to be raised is approximately 225 feet.� Work includes stripping berm areas to be raised to a depth of 6 inches and then placing compacted dredged material fill to the required elevation and seeding surface of fill.� Work also includes digging up several animal burrow holes in the berm and refilling with compacted fill. This project is a 100% total small business set-aside. The Government is not requesting any submittals at this time.�
