- SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD NATIONAL PARK SERVICE - GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA REFUSE COLLECTION AND REMOVAL SERVICES AT GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA LOCATIONS REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) No. 140P8621Q0038 The National Park Service (NPS), Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA), intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract to Golden Gate Disposal & Recycling Company (DBA Recology Golden Gate), 900 7th St., San Francisco, CA 94107-1528 for Solid Waste Collection and Removal Services at Golden Gate National Recreation Area Locations. This services procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) soliciting from a single source authorized by FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(2). The anticipated award date is July 1, 2021. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 562111� Solid Waste Collection, with a corresponding Size Standard of $41.5 million in annual gross receipts for the past three years. Golden Gate Disposal & Recycling Company is the sole company approved for solid waste (trash and rubbish removal) in the San Francisco County area. The services require all refuse in the containers shall be collected as specified herein. Recyclable materials such as glass, plastic, aluminum and tin containers, cardboard, and paper shall be collected from residences. Other loose refuse, Christmas trees and tree branches and packing containers, etc., which are placed adjacent to the container shall be picked up by the Contractor. Any spillage of refuse in the course of handling operations shall be cleaned up immediately by the Contractor, including spillage from collection trucks during collection and/or hauling. Refuse containers when emptied shall be returned to their original position with the lids replaced thereon. Collection of a group of containers from pickup stations and then returning them later in the day will not be permitted. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(i), all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
