Description

This Solicitation is a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Cotton Ginning Laboratory in Stoneville, Mississippi requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to complete a construction project to Install Guidance Tracks to include: All professional services necessary to sawcut existing asphalt to provide a 810� (length) x 18� (width)x 12� (depth) trench and install 810� of USDA furnished C4x4.5 Steel Channel embedded in concrete at minimum 3500 psi. �All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings and specifications contained in the solicitation documents. A single organized site visit has been scheduled for Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. CST.� Participants will meet at: USDA-ARS Cotton Ginning Facility, 111 Experiment Station Road in Stoneville, MS. Pre-registration to attend the site visit is required no later than Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. CST. Pre-register by email notification to Roger Bright at roger.bright@usda.gov. Provide names of personnel to be in attendance, each firm is limited to two individuals. Wearing of face masks and practicing of social distancing is required at the site visit. Quotes MUST be received no later than 2:00 p.m. CST, Thursday, June 24, 2021. � Quote must be in writing and emailed to: Shalunda Mix, Contract Specialist USDA ARS SEA AAO Shalunda.mix@usda.gov As noted in Section B.5, please include a detailed breakdown of price with various cost elements per line item (e.g. materials, sub-costs, controllers, etc.) Additional quote instructions can be found in Section L. All questions pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be submitted to shalunda.mix@usda.gov by Thursday, June 17, 2021. Please reference the solicitation no. 12405B21Q0066 in all email subject lines. �Questions that are not submitted in writing or that are not submitted by June 17, 2021 may not receive a response. Questions/answers discussed at the site visit will not be binding on the resultant contract unless submitted in writing and incorporated into the solicitation by amendment.
