Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command- Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to procure the integration, assembly, and logistics packages for an maximum quantity of 123 Water Storage Distribution Systems (WSDS), including 87 systems with a (100k GAL) capacity and 36 systems configured with a split capacity of (2)(50K GAL) units. The contract will contain an option for up to a quantity of 150 spare 350 GPM fluid distribution pumps. The WSDS provides the large capacity capability that is tailorable in receiving, storing, and issuing bulk water to all water systems in the Army inventory. The WSDS is the Armys primary large potable water bag farm storage. The WSDS can be set up to enable split operations and multiple configurations. Water is pumped from a pipeline or other water sources into collapsible fabric storage tanks for dispensing into tanker trucks, trailer-mounted water tanks, or individual containers. The WSDS is comprised of collapsible storage tanks, engine driven centrifugal water pumps, meters, hoses, fittings and nozzles. The system also has hypochlorination units that automatically chlorinates water to Army standards. The Government intends to award to up five IDIQ contracts for the minimum quantity (delivery of a 125 GPM pump assembly and 350 GPM pump assembly) to be utilized for test. The test results will be part of the evaluation criteria used to down-select to a single IDIQ contract holder that will have orders called up for WSDS production, logistics products, and potentially spare fluid distribution pumps. The resulting contracts will be five-year firm fixed price IDIQ contract with two additional option ordering years. This procurement is a 100% Small business set-aside. Buyer: Jon Kaercher. Phone: (586) 282-0328.
