- Description
- This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal.� The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with King�s College London 57 Waterloo Road, London, United Kingdom with Genomic and demographic data from the TwinsUK project. The Immunotechnology Section (ITS) plans to investigate the genetic regulation of the immune system in twins since twin studies are the most precise human model for heritability. In addition, with a smaller cohort of samples from twins with confirmed COVID-19 disease we aim to stratify severity and type of symptoms and associate these disease-relevant traits with immune phenotypes to obtain a better mechanistic overview of COVID-19 severity. The data generated from the vendor�s chip analysis will be used to support various VRC clinical trials. Place of Performance is Bethesda, MD 20892 The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.� All responsible sources that could provide comparable services may submit a capability statement that will be considered by email (subject line to reference NOI-NIAID-2060674) to Skye Duffner at skye.duffner@nih.gov �by 10:00 am eastern standard time Thursday, June 17, 2021.� All responses received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.� A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
