Description
THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS.� THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION.� The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates the issuance of a solicitation, Invitation for Bid, 15B30121B00000001 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Fire Alarm Replacement at USP Atlanta.� United States Penitentiary (USP) Atlanta is located at 601 Mcdonugh Blvd SE, Atlanta, GA 30315. �The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction for the Fire Alarm Replacement USP Atlanta.� This work shall include but not limited to;�the removal of the existing fire alarm system and instillation of a new system.� The project requirements are described in full detail in the Statement of work attached to this notice.� Drawings and all other attachments shall be posted at a later date with the solicitation.� Access to the attachments will require an active beta.SAM.gov vendor registration (log in).��If you encounter problems accessing the documents, please contact the Federal Service Desk at 866-606-8220. The performance period for the project will be 568 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.� The solicitation will be made available on or about June 28, 2021 and will be distributed solely through the beta.sam website at https://beta.sam.gov.�� Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available however, the site provides downloading instructions.� All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project lies between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000� (NOTE: This range is one of eight available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.)� The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238210 (Electrical Contractors and other Wiring Instillations Contractors) with a corresponding small business size standard of $16.5 Million.� This is a 100 percent�small business set-aside.� In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified above (see provision 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your registration and view the table therein listing NAICS codes and your indicated business size relative to the assigned NAICS code above).� Interested bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov.� Important Information:� This synopsis is intended only for those who would be entering into a Prime contract with the FBOP for the�entirety�of the project.� The FBOP does not award subcontracts.� �Subcontracts (if applicable/necessary) are the responsibility of the Prime contractor.� If you have questions about beta.SAM.gov, Government procurements in general, or need assistance in the preparation of your bid/proposal/offer, a local Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) may be able to help.
