Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) is considering issuing a requirement for maintenance services for the Waters Synapt G2S Quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer system listed below, including maintaining the most current updates of instrument operation, data processing and data reduction software. The System is comprised of the following: Fixed Asset Product Serial Number Description Number G9010507 Waters Synapt G2-S System UE8-099 G9010784 Agilent 7890A Gas Chromatograph CN13121119 Acquity UPLC Column Manager J12CMP1536 Acquity bioSample Manager-FTN H12BDI536M Acquity bioQuaternary Solvent Manager H12BQM553M Waters Z-Spray Interface 35/010 Waters APGC Interface 7/017 Waters ASAP Probe NONE Maintenance Requirements: Contractor shall be able to diagnose equipment failure and provide all labor, testing equipment, travel expenses, parts and software revisions and customizations required to maintain the equipment at Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) published operating capabilities. All preventative maintenance shall be conducted at the U. S. Geological Survey, NWQL, Lakewood, CO. All preventative maintenance shall be conducted by an OEM factory trained and authorized Contractor Service Engineer. Waters Synapt G2-S QToF is equipped with patented technology, including the Step wave ion guide, the Travelling wave ion guide, and the APGC interface. Contractor service personnel shall have certifications of repair proficiency on all components. Contractor shall be able to modify hardware or software to accommodate instrument control, data processing, or other service problems that are only identified after field deployment of these complex technologies. Contractor shall be authorized by the OEM to install software upgrades, revisions, and the intermittent utilization of the Contractor�s Programing Department necessary for maintaining uninterrupted operation of the specified mass spectrometer system, specifically after any hardware or software changes essential to maximize efficient operation of the mass spectrometers, are provided. In particular, the contractor shall be authorized to provide support for the following software: Unifi� and MassLynx�. These provided software updates, revisions and customizations are included for Government owned stand-alone and instrumentation attached computers that use software that controls all instrument data acquisition and monitoring. Updates, revisions, and customizations will be installed by an OEM factory trained and authorized Contractor Service Engineer. Contractors are requested to provide supporting information and at least three references if they feel they are capable to perform the required maintenance services.
