- Description
- The United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Yuma Proving Ground (MICC-YPG), U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order on a sole source basis with L3 Applied Technologies, Inc. 2700 Merced Street, San Leandro, CA 94577, United States. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) has a requirement for under purchase request 0011626292 for a non-personnel services contract to provide maintenance, parts, and supplies for Flash X-Ray (FXR) systems installed by L3 Pulse Sciences (Now L3 Applied Technologies, Inc). FXR systems are composed of one or more high voltage pulsers - specialized Marx generators - interfaced with control and support equipment. When triggered, the energy stored in the pulser is discharged into an X-ray tube to create X-rays. These X-rays are used to create images which provide position, integrity, and composition information of munitions inside a gun tube or after muzzle exit while still within blast effects. The FXR systems may be fielded anywhere on the firing range, typically have components emplaced within inches of firing cannon, and must be capable of withstanding the blast and pressure effects of this environment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) NAICS Code 541380, �Testing Laboratories�, with the size standard of $16.5 million. Award for this requirement will be accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet these requirements by 17 June 2021 09:00 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST).
