- The Government is conducting market research and identifying, as potential sources, companies that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to provide a Tower Simulation System (TSS) capable of interfacing with an existing Adacel MaxSim Tower Simulation System.�� Companies responding to this sources sought are advised that participation does not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards.� The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparation or participation in this request for information. 1.� Describe your company's technical competencies and experience in sustaining high fidelity Air Traffic Control training devices.� Include contract numbers, a brief description of the work performed, period of performance, agency/organization supported, and individual points of contact (Contracting Officers or Program Managers). 2.� Describe your specific capabilities to sustain a training system for air traffic controllers, be sure to include any information relative to your experience with pseudo voice and voice recognition and response. 3.� Describe your experience with visual data base generation and sustainment and how information would/could be shared between systems. Additionally, address the process for obtaining USAF approval of new scenarios and simulations. 4. Discuss plans/procedures for integrating the existing on-site Adacel TSS with your company�s proposed product. 5.� Address your expectations with respect to reuse, modification, and integration of legacy software, and COTS; including software, data, and documentation rights restrictions. 6.� Identify expected software risks for this effort and how you might propose to mitigate them. 7.� Describe your experience with Air Traffic Controller formal training.� 9.� Discuss options and potential costs for 24/7/365 help desk support and any recommended preventive maintenance or other associated costs (database creation for example) for initial fielding and to ensure the system remains operational. 10.� Describe the proposed approach to ensure system is operational 95% of the time assuming a 24 hour day 7 days a week within 3 days of notification. 11.� Provide a notional timeline for manufacturing and installation of the proposed system.
