- Description
- The Government requires a commercially managed global capability with failover coverage to support current and future MSC ships and land based capabilities with connectivity to commercial teleports (CTs) and terrestrial backhaul that will provide internet access and Voice over IP (VoIP) services in accordance with terms and conditions provided in paragraph 6 and in the technical specification. The government requires a modernization of the MSC fleet, allowing the fleet to leverage technologies, which are more efficient, economical, and offer increased capability, as they become available to market. The contractor shall maintain and operate commercial communications infrastructure, which includes satellite systems, teleport services, and terrestrial services.
